We strive for minimal wait times and provide quick turnaround times on your results. Choose Hills Ultrasound for a stress-free and positive healthcare experience.

Preparing for your ultrasound is generally straightforward. For most ultrasounds, you'll need to ensure your skin is clean in the area being examined. You may be asked to drink extra fluids beforehand for certain types of ultrasounds (like abdominal or bladder scans) to ensure a clear image. Your doctor or our staff will provide specific instructions based on the type of ultrasound you are having. Please don't hesitate to call us if you have any questions before your appointment.

The duration of your ultrasound appointment depends on the type of ultrasound and the complexity of the examination. A typical ultrasound can take anywhere from 15 to 45 minutes. However, it's always best to allow a bit of extra time for check-in and any necessary pre-exam preparation. Our scheduling staff will give you a better estimate when you book your appointment, and we'll do our best to keep to the scheduled timeframe.

The ultrasound procedure is generally painless. You may experience some slight pressure from the transducer (the device used to conduct the ultrasound), but it shouldn't be uncomfortable. If you experience any discomfort during the exam, please let the sonographer know immediately. We're committed to ensuring your comfort and a positive experience.
